Praga – NR Rotax Review

Praga - Mohammed Moerat

Praga enjoyed some good results at the Vaal Kart Circuit last weekend, claiming two overall podium finishes in the Northern Regions Rotax event held on 31 August 2019.

Mohammed Moerat was once again the star of the show in Micro Max. He qualified on pole position and took the race one lead. A small glitch in his plans saw him finishing 2nd in race two, but he set this right in the final heat, claiming yet another victory and first overall for the day. Mohammed has unofficially secured the Northern Regions Micro Max Championship with one round still remaining.

Erich Heystek was in great form over the weekend. He qualified 4th and held this position to the flag in race one. Erich finished 4th in heat two and set the fastest lap of the race. He had a brilliant final heat, finishing in 2nd place, setting the fastest lap and giving Praga a one-two finish. Erich finished 3rd in the overall standings.

Godfrey Malumane had a solid day in Mini Max, qualifying 7th and finishing 8th in the first heat. He took 8th in heat two, before coming home in 7th place in the final race. Godfrey ended the day 8th overall.

Tyler Robinson took part in her second Mini Max event, qualifying in 8th place. She finished 7th in the first two heats, leaving her best result for last. Tyler took the flag in 6th place in the final race. She may have only finished 7th overall, but has proven that she will be a force to be reckoned with in the future.

The final race of the season will take place at Zwartkops on 2 November 2019.
